MOMENTUM THIEF / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

Updated: 7 September 2026 · Developer: LoopofTime

Data use for offline play, Google Play purchases and optional online services.

Scope

This policy describes data use in the 0.5.0 Android release family of Momentum Thief, developed by LoopofTime. The game is in internal testing. It can be played offline and does not create a separate LoopofTime account.

Data on your device

Level progress, stars, scores, energy, earned appearances, purchase ownership, tutorial state and language/audio/vibration/privacy preferences are kept in app-private storage. Recovery copies and records preventing duplicate rewards are also local. Local progress is transferred to the relevant service only through the online features described below.

Google Play purchases

Three permanent cosmetic appearances can be purchased through Google Play. At startup, Google Play Billing queries products and existing purchase entitlements. Product IDs, transaction records and purchase tokens are processed to verify ownership, acknowledge purchases and restore them. These automatic queries and Billing diagnostics operate independently of the gameplay analytics preference. Google Play processes payments; the game does not receive payment card or bank details.

Optional gameplay analytics

Gameplay statistics are off by default. If you enable them in Settings, Google Analytics for Firebase processes events such as level/run starts and results, duration, combos, stars, continues and abandonment, together with service data such as an app-instance identifier, device/app information and approximate location derived from IP. This helps us understand and improve the game and its performance. The game does not attach names, email addresses or purchase receipts to its analytics events. Disabling the preference stops new gameplay event transmission; it does not automatically delete previously transmitted data.

Google Play Games cloud saves

You may optionally connect an existing Google Play Games profile. Google Play Games processes your player ID and game progress that you explicitly save to associate a cloud save with your account and restore it. The Google service may also process technical diagnostics. Cloud saving and loading are manual; replacing local progress requires your confirmation. Purchase receipts are not included in cloud progress, and a cloud save does not grant paid ownership. Disconnecting cloud actions does not delete an existing cloud save.

Rewarded ads and choices

Google AdMob and the UMP consent service start when you request a rewarded ad. IP addresses and inferred approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics may be processed and shared with Google and relevant advertising services for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. The current internal test release uses Google test ads. Watching ads is optional and the game can be played without them. Where available, ad privacy choices can be managed in Settings. Declining personalization does not stop all technical processing associated with ads.

Transfers and permissions

Online services use HTTPS/TLS for data transmission. The game does not request camera, microphone, contacts or precise location permission. Approximate location may be inferred from IP processing by services rather than GPS access. Google services may process data in different countries under their own privacy and retention rules.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain in app storage. Clearing app data in Android settings or uninstalling the game can erase local progress; this cannot be undone. Local deletion does not delete Google Play purchase records, cloud saves or analytics already transmitted. Use the relevant Google and Play Games account controls for service records. The developer does not provide a system that remotely deletes all Google service records and does not promise automatic deletion within 90 days. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve a request and meet applicable retention obligations.

Support and privacy requests

When you contact support, we process your email address and the message content you choose to provide to respond. Send privacy questions and requests concerning support correspondence held by the developer to [email protected]. Do not send passwords or payment card details.

Age group and updates

Momentum Thief is developed for teens and adults and is not specifically directed to children under 13. Contact us with concerns about children’s data. This policy and relevant in-app disclosures will be updated when data practices change.
